Can the kitchen open onto the living room?

Yes. I would take that wall down and add a counter. Proposal coming today.

Great, thanks.

— FAQ

Questions about flat design online

The questions people ask before designing a flat.

Under construction or ready to move in?

Both. For an under-construction flat, the design fixes the layout and finishes before possession. For a ready flat, the design starts from what exists and what you want to change.

Do I need an architect or an interior designer?

If walls move or plumbing and electrical get redone, an architect. If the focus is layout, modular kitchen, wardrobes and lighting, an interior designer. The brief lets you choose, and the quotations show who replies.

Does the society or builder require approved drawings?

Many do, for work that touches structure or common services. Mention it in the brief and ask for a licensed professional in the quotation.

How much does it cost?

Posting the project is free. Each professional sends their own quotation, with the fee and the timeline. You pay stage by stage, as you approve each deliverable.

Can it be designed without a visit?

Yes. The builder's plan, photos and a video are enough for most projects. A visit, when it makes sense, is fixed directly with the professional.
